Adam obtained his postgraduate Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in 1995 from the University of Cape Town. He followed this with establishing his own business consulting services and undertaking various contract-based lecturing posts at certain tertiary institutions in South Africa. On completion of his degree, Adam launched APK Consultancy, to help identify and secure key-turn solutions for African project-based requirements and, more strategically, to offer quality consulting services within Africa. As recognition for this initiative, APK Consultancy won the official UNESCO award as Top Web Service for Africa in 1999. In his personal capacity, Adam advises on or assists with numerous project-based activities, business turnarounds, and business networking and facilitation strategies in Africa and internationally. In the past, he has worked on projects involving partnerships or providing assistance to clients such as the World Bank, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Shell, and other international-based Government or Consulting practices. He has contributed to various business and government publications in the fields of business, administration, and project management and is Managing Director of APK Consultancy. Adam is based in South Africa.

Tim's research interests have focused on the formulation of South African foreign policy, democratisation and parliaments in Africa, futures scenarios, poverty studies and the Middle East. He holds an MA in Political Studies (cum laude) from the University of Cape Town and taught at UCT and has lectured in the United States, Africa and the Middle East. He has worked for the British Broadcasting Corporation, as well as with South African Trade Unions and the corporate financial sector. He has completed numerous research projects ranging from futures scenarios, poverty studies including the Second Carnegie Inquiry into Poverty in South Africa, revolutions and terrorism. During 2002/03, he completed an extensive study on the formulation of South African foreign policy funded by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. He heads a research programme, as Research Fellow at SAIIA, examining the consolidation of parliamentary democracy in the SADC region. Tim is based in South Africa.

Mills was employed by the Institute for Democracy in South Africa and reported on the work of parliamentary committees in South Africas first democratic national legislature. He later joined the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) the upper house of the South African Parliament as a researcher to the Select Committee on Trade and Industry, Foreign Affairs, and Public Enterprises. He completed a Masters degree in International Studies and this was followed by his appointment as Head of Policy and Legislative Research in the NCOP. He resumed his academic studies and obtained a Masters degree in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick. In 2004, he completed a doctoral thesis on the political economy of trade policy reform in post-apartheid South Africa at the same university. He has published widely in the area of international and South African trade and is a member of a board of trustees and member of the editorial board of Africa Growth Agenda. Mills also lectures at the UCT Graduate School of Business and recently launched his own consultancy in South Africa.

Yusuf owns and manages his Logistics and Freight company, CapeGo, which offers export, import and freighting services through Africa. Yusuf also undertakes various commodity and product promotion activities and provides integral and complete turnkey transport solutions to challenges often facing African countries with the movement of freight. Yusuf is also involved in assisting companies to secure their product lines in various African countries and on this basis has been given exclusive mandate in some cases, such as the 911 Energy Drink. His freight and logistics dealings have included transport of mined commodities, food and beverages, and other goods in Africa and beyond. Yusuf is based in South Africa.

Jan is an electrical engineer by training and worked in various related industry until 1997 when he obtained his MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer) with distinction. He involved himself in the fast growing IT industry thereafter and additionally built on his expertise in commercial trade by completing a Marketing course in selling techniques and negotiation, as well as applied business networking and business leverage skills. As a potential property developer, in addition to this background, he undertook and successfully completed required Estate Agency exams. His involvement in Commodities and Commodity Broking began around this time with possibilities of trade internationally presented to him by potential sellers and buyers. Jan's speciality in Commodities is scrap metal. Jan is based in South Africa.

Glenn is a specialist in development cooperation with extensive international experience. He has carried out complex policy management responsibilities and assignments, both in public and private sector settings. Glenns approach to development cooperation is partnership-minded, with an emphasis on capacity strengthening and institutional development. His consulting work has included programme management and business facilitation services to organisations active in development cooperation and firms exploring new opportunities, especially in sub-Saharan Africa. Glenn has managed to develop and maintain professional associations with innovative actors in development. His attention to development policy issues allows for a balanced understanding of the complex realities of program and project management. In numerous articles and several online publications, he has contributed to ongoing aid debates and demonstrated dedication to promoting sustainable forms of development in todays global inter-relationships. His country experiences in Africa include Somalia, Sudan, Ethiopia, and Kenya. He has worked for the UNHCR, ECDPM, UNDP, EU based CTA, DAI for USAID, CARE, and CIDA. Glenn is based in Canada.
OMOLE OLUSOJI OBOKHAI: APK Associate: Nigeria OMOLE OLUSOJI OBOKHAI: APK Associate: Nigeria.

Omole obtained his LLM in 1987 specialising in International Law, Law of the Sea, Company Law and Jurisprudence in Nigeria. He has acted as Legal Counsel on retainer to various companies in Nigeria, notably Umarco Ltd Ro-Ro Terminal Company, the SAGA Transport Group, Trodos Shipping, Gulf Shipping and Maritime Limited. He also is a research fellow and partner to Nigerias Advanced Institute of Legal Studies. More recently Omole has undertaken an interest in inward investment opportunities in Nigeria and has published to this effect, including a review on the Regulation of Foreign Investments in Nigeria, Tax Sovereignty, and Corporate Reorganisation. His achievements include an appointment by the Federal Government of Nigeria as member of the Consultative Assembly on the Reform of Company Law and his membership of the Nigerian and International Bar Association. Omole is based in Nigeria.
